The NYT recently ran an article about tennis pros who are overly concerned about looking "masculine". Unfortunately the article seemed to pit Serena Williams v. the other pros.
•I think the intention was for this to be a conversation starter.
• Serena,Venus and the USA National Woman's Soccer team are great sports models for young girls. This is probably a testament to Title IX.
And it highlights that in the USA we are finally getting our heads around the idea that women come in all different shapes and sizes and it should be embraced and celebrated.
( I say this because it seems that the European women are hampered by the idea of having to look feminine.)
It would be wonderful if both genders were happy with their bodies. And if anything wanted to be a better version of themselves. Which is achievable.
