Do you run differently as you age?

9/9/2015

This information is applicable to all ages. It is the basis for FitCampNYC and being a better athlete. This study published in the NYT covers athletes after the age of 50, it finds that mature runners use certain leg muscles quite differently than younger runners, a new study found. Exercises to strengthen the calf and ankle flexors may help older runners prevent injuries and increase speed.  http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/09/09/why-runners-get-slower-with-age-and-how-strength-training-may-help/?smprod=nytcore-iphone&smid=nytcore-iphone-share
