Class is still a go if it's light rain. Please bring gloves and mat if possible.*
As the weather gets warm you wear less and your skin is exposed more to the eyes of others, the sun and to melanoma. You may be ok with the first two but you should be on high alert for skin cancer.
Melanoma is one thing you don't want to expose yourself to this summer.
Melanoma is a dangerous and possibly deadly form of skin cancer.
You heighten your risk to it if you you expose yourself to UV rays from indoor tanning.
Your best bet is to avoid tanning beds, because you increase your chances of melanoma by 75% when you get your rays this way! ( see link below).
Other smart options are to:
Wear proper clothing.
Wear sun block free of dangerous chemicals.
and Workout outside.
(A FitCamp session would be ideal ;-] )
The limited exposure will allow you to adapt to the sun. While giving you some exposure to the sun and vitamin D.
Please pass this along to anyone you know who gets an indoor tan to prime themselves before they hit the beach. You could help save their skin and life.
