People I train and coach as endurance athletes have asked me about the recent 3,100 mile race and the one aspect that blows their mind is that this race takes place around "1" single city block!
A block that measures .5488 of a mile.
Which means that, hold on let me get my abacus out, you must run...
5,649 laps to complete the race in the 52 days allotted to you!!!!
Whoa!! Next time you think you think you're in a rut, think about these runners who put in 18 hours a day running.
Your marathon is just a 1/2 day of running for them.
Heck they run, according to my trusty abacus, over 118 marathons back to back to .... You get the picture.
